"A beautiful town with history and flair"
That’s how Prof. Dr. Blaurock, Professor at the university of Freiburg describes our beautiful university town of Marburg, when we asked him about his time in Marburg during the "34th Conference for Comparative Law" in September 2013 at the house "Landgrafenhaus".
Prof. Dr. Blaurock always finds something new about the town every time he comes. He and his wife often come to Marburg, either to visit friends or for occupational reasons, as in this instance.
Prof. Dr. Blaurock particularly likes the aged appearance of the town’s sights, which bring Marburg’s 800 year old history to life. In addition, he is also impressed by the pure-Gothic architecture of Elisabeth church, the remarkable grounds of the castle of the Landgrave and the first Protestant university, whose old auditorium with its large historical canvases offers a unique glimpse of the history of the town of Marburg.
"There are very few towns like this and furthermore it’s not just the town that has many beautiful attractions, the surrounding region is also very charming", says the Professor.
