Below you will find information regarding what data is collected when you access the site and how it is used:
1. Collection and processing of data
Data is logged every time our website is accessed and every time a file stored on the website is retrieved. The data is stored for internal system-related and statistical purposes.
However, we will keep this data for a maximum of 6 months until it is no longer considered useful.
The following data is logged:
Cookies are small volumes of data in the form of textual information that the web server sends to your browser. These are stored on your hard disk. In each case, they can only be read by the server that has also previously filed them and they receive information about what website content you have viewed and when. Cookies identify the IP address of the computer and do not store any personal information, such as your name. Cookies give you the choice of whether you want this data to be stored. Changes regarding this can be made in your browser settings.
At least the following changes are possible:
If you disable cookies completely, this may result in functional restrictions and error messages on the Website.
1.1. Data collection forms
If forms which help us to collect your data are included on the website, we have made it clear which data you must enter as part of completing the form and which information you can give us on a voluntary basis. A detailed explanation regarding the collection of your data within such a form can be found in the respective specific privacy notice, which you must confirm to have ready by opting in before you can submit the form. When you tick the opt-in box, this will be saved together with your request.
2. Transmission of personal data relating to you
We will forward or otherwise transfer the personal data relating to you only if this is required for the purpose of the contract, if this is necessary for billing purposes or if you have given your prior consent. You have the right to revoke your consent with future effect at any time. The personal data relating to you which has been saved will be deleted or blocked if you revoke your consent to the storage of your data, if your knowledge is no longer required for the fulfilment of the purpose for which the data is stored or if is not allowed to be stored for other legal reasons. When we have submitted your data, we notify the recipient of the importance of deleting the data.
3. Web analysis by Matomo (formerly PIWIK)
We use the open-source software tool Matomo (formerly PIWIK) on our website to analyse the surfing behaviour of our users. The software sets a cookie on the computer of the user (for cookies see above).
3.1. Scope of personal data processing
If the user accesses individual pages of our website, the following data is stored:
The software runs exclusively on the servers of our website. The personal data relating to the user is only stored there. The data is not transmitted to third parties. The software is set so that the IP addresses are not stored in their entirety but that 2 bytes of the IP address are masked (e.g. 192.168.xxx.xxx). In this way, it is no longer possible to assign the shortened IP address to the calling computer.
3.2. Legal basis for the processing of personal data relating to you
The legal basis for the processing of personal data relating to the user is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
3.3. Purpose of data processing
Processing the personal data relating to the user enables us to analyse the surfing behaviour of our users. By analysing the data obtained, we are able to compile information about the use of the individual components of our website. This helps us to constantly improve our website and its user-friendliness. For these purposes, our legitimate interest lies in the processing of the data according to Article 6 (1)(f) GDPR. By making the IP address anonymous, the user's interest in the protection of their data is sufficiently taken into account.
3.4. Duration of data retention
The data is deleted as long as it is no longer needed for our recording purposes.
In our case, this is after 180 days.
3.5 Objection and disposal
We offer our users the option of opting out of the analysis procedure on our website. To do this, you must click on the corresponding link. In this way, another cookie is set on your system, which in turn sends a signal to our system to not save the user's data. If, in the meantime, the user deletes the corresponding cookie from their own system, they must set the opt-out cookie again.
